The Northwest School Admissions Suite

The marketing collateral of The Northwest School had no consistent messaging or look and feel when they hired aftertheimage to craft consistent messaging for their admissions marketing collateral. They were in the process of internal strategic planning and consistent authentic messaging was a priority. Our goal was to clearly communicate the true, genuine educational experience of The Northwest School so that students and their parents would be able to make an informed choice.

We needed to effectively explain the Northwest School’s intellectual and creative balance, the environment, the community, and the well-rounded benefits of the liberal arts focus. We needed to acknowledge the Northwest’s curriculum based on developing intellectual discipline, delivering diverse interactions and encouraging individual creativity.

We brought in Hugh Saffel for brand voice development and copywriting. We collaborated together delivering a 24 page viewbook, a 12 page viewbook solely for recruiting international boarding students who comprise 15% of the student body and a postcard advertising the Open House dates and Financial Aid deadlines.

We created the first Admissions Suite in the fall of 2013 and refreshed it for the fall of 2014. We worked with the school’s existing photographs, choosing the images that best told the authentic story and optimized the photographs for publication. In both years, admission applications were up.
